New Business Opens In Vestal

VESTAL, NY February 2, 2009 – Despite tough economic times, two Vestal High School alumni have partnered to open a new business in Vestal. Fancypants Quality Children’s Consignment and Gifts opened last week at 255 Vestal Parkway East across from the Skylark Diner.

Co-owners Abby Davis and Mary McIntyre both returned to the area to raise their families after living in different parts of the country. They saw a need in our community for a children’s resale shop offering more than just clothing. Fancypants carries clothing for children and maternity wear, plus gently used baby furniture and gear, and preschool focused toys and books. The economy is on the forefront of many local moms’ minds and this is a chance for them to make extra money and get great deals at the same time.

“We are both moms of young children, so we understand how quickly kids grow and how expensive it can become, “ says co-owner Abby Davis, “our mission is to provide the community with high quality, gently used items at a reasonable price.” And if it means you get to de-clutter your home, save the earth, and help another family’s dollar stretch a little further….even better!!

In addition to gently used items, Fancypants offers locally handmade gifts and décor items for children. Items are designed and produced in the area offering an additional boost to the local economy.

We are open to having the media come in and show our new store as well as talk to us and our customers about ways to save money.

Fancypants Store Hours: Monday-Friday 10am-5pm, Saturday 11am-4pm
